This Project Provides Funding for Groundwork Rhode Island to Recruit, Train, and Place Unemployed and Underemployed Residents of Rhode Island in Environmental Careers With Skills Needed to Safely Conduct Remediation Work at Solid and Hazardous Waste-contaminated Sites, as Well as Appropriate Training in Wastewater Management and Chemical Safety. Groundwork Rhode Island Will Train/certify 60 People to Prepare Them for Careers in the Environmental Sector and Track Training Graduates to Determine Their Success in Obatining Employment. a 75% Job Placement Rate Is Projected for Graduates of This Program.
