Description:the Agreement Provides Funding to Washoe County Health District, Air Quality Management Division (AQMD) in Its Efforts to Implement Air Pollution Control Programs Throughout Washoe County. Specifically, the Recipient Will Assure That Air Pollution Sources Are Properly Regulated and Are in Compliance With All Permit Conditions, Standards, and Regulations Through an Effective and Timely Permitting, Inspection, Compliance, and Enforcement Process. Established Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations Are Operated and Maintained by the Program to Monitor the District's Air Quality for Comparison to National Ambient Air Quality Standards (naaqs). This Assistance Agreement Provides Partial Federal Funding in the Amount of $300,000. Pre-award Costs Have Been Approved Back to 10/01/2023. Activities:the Recipient Will Implement Activities Within the Scope of the Section 105 Program Including: 1) to Implement National Priorities as Defined in Epa National Guidance and Consistent With Epa's Strategic Plan; 2) Actions Mandated by Statute or Regulation; 3) Program Activities Delegated to the Recipient (state, Local, or Tribe) for Which Epa Provides Section 105 Grant Funding. the Activities Include Analysis and Planning for Attainment and Maintenance of National Ambient Air Quality Standards (naaqs); Control Strategy Development and Implementation; Reduction of Risks From Hazardous Air Pollutants; Air Quality Monitoring; Ambient Air Quality and Source Modeling; Inventory of Emissions; Regulation Development and Implementation; Non-title V Related Permitting and Enforcement; Public Outreach; Staff Training and Development; and Air Pollution Data Analysis and Management.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Reporting Quality Assured Data, Administering an Air Permitting Program, and Enforcing Air Regulations in a Manner That Ensure Equal Protection. the Expected Outcomes Include a Broadened Awareness of Air Quality Programs That Are Established to Address the Attainment of Maintenance of National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) as Well as Immediate and Emerging Threats to Public Health and Welfare From Air Pollution (caa 105(A)) the Intended Beneficiaries Include Direct Beneficiaries of This Program County Residents Who Have Decreased Exposure to Criteria and Hazardous Air Pollutants.
