Description:this Assistance Agreement Provides Funding for the Cook County Department of Environment and Sustainability to Support the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Clean Air Activities in Cook County. Activities:the Primary Purpose Is to Provide Financial Assistance to the Recipient to Implement Its Program to Maintain and Operate a Large Portion of the Gaseous Monitoring Network in Cook County, Illinois. Activities Include Daily Operation and Periodic Precision and Quality Control Checks of the Air Monitoring Equipment, Analysis and Planning for Attainment and Maintenance of Air Quality Standards, and Staff Training and Development. All Activities Are Within the Scope of the Section 105 Program.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Accurate, Complete, and Representative Data Collected by Monitors That Are Maintained and Operated by the Recipient. the Expected Outcomes Include a Broadened Awareness of Air Quality Programs That Are Established to Address the Attainment and Maintenance of Naaqs as Well as Immediate and Emerging Threats to Public Health and Welfare From Air Pollution (caa 105(A)). the Intended Beneficiaries Include Cook County Residents Who Will Have Decreased Exposure to Criteria and Hazardous Air Pollutants.
