Description:the Agreement Provides Funding to the Cook County Department of Environment and Sustainability (CCDES) in Its Effort to Provide Ongoing Support for the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency's Air Pollution Control Program. Specifically, Ccdes Will Operate and Maintain a Large Portion of the Air Monitoring Network in Cook County, Illinois.activities:ccdes Will Implement Activities Within the Scope of the Section 105 Program Including: 1) to Implement National Priorities as Defined in Epa National Guidance and Consistent With Epa's Strategic Plan; 2) Actions Mandated by Statute or Regulation; 3) Program Activities Delegated to the Recipient (LOCAL) for Which Epa Provides Section 105 Grant Funding. the Activities Include Operation and Maintenance of Instrumentation at Several Locations Within Cook County, Including in the Cities of Alsip, Chicago, Lemont, Summit, and Cicero.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Accurate, Complete, and Representative Data Collected by Monitors That Are Maintained and Operated by Ccdes. the Expected Outcomes Include a Broadened Awareness of Air Quality Programs That Are Established to Address the Attainment of Maintenance of National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) as Well as Immediate and Emerging Threats to Public Health and Welfare From Air Pollution (caa 105(A)). the Intended Beneficiaries Include Residents of Cook County, Illinois.
