Description:this Grant Agreement Provides Funding to the Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) to Carry Out Its Program to Maintain, Protect, and Improve the Water Quality of Its Rivers, Lakes, Streams, Groundwater, and Other Waterbodies. the Environmental Benefits of This Program Include Preventing Degradation of Unimpaired Waterbodies and Reducing the Number of Impaired Waterbodies in the State. Activities:activities Include Watershed Assessments, Subbasin Surveys, Large River Surveys, American Eel Restoration Studies, Dam Removal Studies and Surveys, Source Water Protection and Legacy Mining Water Quality Studies. Subrecipient:a Subaward for Lab Analysis ($27,005) Is Included to Cover the Costs Associated With Water Quality and Chlorophyll Samples. Approximately 94 Water Quality Samples and 72 Chlorophyll Samples Will Be Processed. Outcomes:anticipated Deliverables and Outcomes Include a Technical Report on the Upper Susquehanna Subbasin; a Report on the Lower Susquehanna River; a Report on Dam Removal in Chiques Creek; Assessment Reports; and, Enhanced Coordination Among Partners Including Source Water Community Partnerships and Increased Collaboration Among Stakeholders in the Watershed. Direct Beneficiaries of This Assistance Agreement Include Residents of the Susquehanna River Basin. Federal Funds of $491,000 Are Contingent Upon Availability.
