Taxation/Internal Revenue Code
CIRT, along with a business liability coalition, urged inclusion in Bidens $1.9 Trillion COVID relief package: targeted and temporary liability protections. CIRT, with the Family Business Estate Tax Coalition (FBETC) supported introduction of The Death Tax Repeal Act of 2021 (S. 617 and H.R. 1712). CIRT opposes increases to corporate tax rates (from 21% to 28% as proposed) as well as individual tax rates that will hurt the economy, especially in the aftermath of the COVID pandemic impacts.
