SRM Supports the passage of a comprehensive 5-year Farm Bill. SRM supports the passage of the Farm Bill with a comprehensive conservation title that supports the efforts of those in the field implementing conservation programs.SRM supports a full five-year Farm Bill as the current operating structure through extensions does not offer certainty in terms of future planning for either land owners or land managers. Extensions of the 2008 Farm Bill do not provide sufficient allocation and appropriation of funds to allow for full sign-ups within conservation and working lands programs; a full bill is needed to provide allotment of all available acreage within these programs. SRM supports the Grazing Improvement Act H.R. 657 as it provides needed certainty to those leasing public lands in face of current backlog of NEPA reviews.
