Support funding for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Environmental Health Laboratory to "harmonize" clinical laboratory test results; support funding for CDC's Environmental Health Laboratory to establish pediatric reference intervals for diagnostic laboratory tests performed on children; support enhanced funding for CDC's Advanced Molecular Detection program; monitor legislation to regulate laboratory-developed in vitro diagnostic tests, including the Verifying Accurate Leading-edge IVCT Development (VALID) Act of 2023 (H.R. 2369); support clinical laboratory and allied health workforce enhancement initiatives, including but not limited to expansion of health workforce programs administered by the Health Resource and Services Administration; funding for the Public Health Workforce Loan Repayment Program and the Bio-Preparedness Workforce Pilot Program; support the Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow's Workforce Act (S. 722/H.R. 1477).
