Joined more than 20 agriculture organizations in endorsing the resolution expressing support for commodity checkoff programs, which is in part a response to the OFF Act, a bill seeking to impose new restrictions on checkoffs. Joined 75 other organizations in a letter to President Biden supporting the renomination of Surface Transportation Board (STB) Chairman Martin Oberman and Member Patrick Fuchs. Filed separate comments as well as comments with 205 other stakeholders on EPAs vulnerable species pilot program. Filed comments regarding the Risk Management Agencys (RMA) request for feedback on future implementation of provisions related to prevented planting. Joined a letter regarding the FY24 Agriculture, Food and Drug Administration, Rural Development appropriations bill. Discussions with USDA RMA regarding STAX/PLC. Discussions with USDA RMA regarding ELS crop insurance provisions. Meetings with various House and Senate offices regarding the development of the 2023 Farm Bill and the FY24 Agriculture Appropriations bills. Met with USDA-APHIS regarding cotton export issues with Turkey. Met with USDA-AMS regarding proposed changes to spot market data reporting. Filed comments with EPA on the Biological Opinion for Enlist and Enlist Duo herbicides. Filed a request as well as a group request to EPA to extend the comment period for the herbicide strategy Was part of a group request for a comment period extension to EPA on the Effectiveness of Antifungal Pesticides.
