FOR: HR 724/ S. 282 Arctic Refuge Protection Act To repeal the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge oil and gas program, and to preserve the Arctic coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska, as wilderness in recognition of its extraordinary natural ecosystems and for the permanent good of present and future generations of Americans. Roadless Area Conservation Act S. 1831/HR 3853 Codifying the national Roadless Rule AGAINST H.R.8998 - Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2025 The bill slashes funding for the Department of Interior and EPA, undoes protections for the NPR-A and Arctic Refuge, and mandates on- and offshore oil and gas lease sales in Alaska. H.R.4748/S.1889 - Unrecognized Southeast Alaska Native Communities Recognition and Compensation Act The bill would privatize 115,00+ acres of the Tongass National Forest, and recognize five new native corporations. S.4310 - Chugach Alaska Land Exchange Oil Spill Recovery Act of 2024 The bill would privatize large inholdings of the Chugach National Forest and Kenai National Park while exchanging some private land.
