One World Surgery is an Illinois-headquartered, five-year-old, 501 3 nonprofit organization that improves medical conditions in Honduras and the Dominican Republic. One World Surgery provides life-saving medical surgeries and medical consultations at local medical centers in both countries; provides train-the-trainer and education services, primary care, and surgical care in nine different specialties (such as orthopedic) to Honduran and Dominican Republican medical staff, and organizes medical mission trips. One World Surgery is partnering with the G4 Alliance - which is the leading trade association of 62 surgical providers that provide surgical assistance and train-the-trainer surgical education to tens of thousands of low-income patients in the developing world, to secure a federal government appropriations request to provide life-saving, surgical centers and medical education and training in the developing world.
