R. 1900, the Natural Gas Pipeline Permitting Reform Act, to expedite the process of obtaining federal regulatory approvals for construction of new or modified interstate natural gas pipelines.H. R. 1582, the Energy Consumers Relief Act, would require EPA to furnish a report to Congress detailing the cost and job impacts of any proposed rule that would cost the economy more than one billion dollars, and direct the Energy Department to perform an independent analysis of the rules impacts. Any rule found to have significant adverse effects on the economy would be prohibited from being finalized. H. R. 1587, the Energy Infrastructure Improvement Act, would provide the Department of Interior with broad authority to authorize rights-of-way on federal lands under its supervision for the purpose of siting and constructing new energy infrastructure.
