In support of the "Restoring Investment in Improvements Act" (S. 803, H.R. 1869) and any other legislation which amends the error in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and returns the depreciation schedule for Qualified Improvement Property (QIP) to 15 years. In support of a permanent extension of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit. In support of the estate tax laws as passed in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Opposed to any rollbacks in those tax incentives.

Immigration

In support of legislation that addresses the critical labor shortage of entry-level workers while protecting employers who comply with the law. In support of the recent increase in the H-2B visa cap and welcomes the opportunity to provide experience and training to those entering the workforce. In support of the mandated use of the E-Verify system and elimination of the I-9 requirement. Further, in support of providing employers a safe harbor from prosecution if they use employee verification systems in good faith and, through no fault of their own, receive an incorrect eligibility confirmation.

Labor Issues/Antitrust/Workplace

Opposed to the "Raise the Wage Act" (H.R. 582, S. 150) which increases the minimum wage to $15 per hour, eliminates the tip credit and increases yearly. Opposed to the "Protecting the Right to Organize Act" (S.1306, H.R. 2474) which implements a number of anti-business policies associated with unionization. Opposed to mandated federal leave policies - including the Healthy Families Act (S.840, H.R. 1784) - which would increase regulatory burdens on employers; it will also increase taxes on American workers - the very people it is trying to benefit.
