Worked within the Protect Medicare Part D working group to protect and improve Medicare Part D. Continued our support of 340B reform including our support of HR 4710, the Pause Act, which would improve oversight and increase program accountability. In January RetireSafe commented on the Proposed Rule on Modernizing Part D and Medicare Advantage to Lower Drug Prices and Reduce Out-of-Pocket Expenses released in the Federal Register on November 30, 2018. We proposed that the only meaningful change would be one that lowered the patients out-ot-pocket costs. Sent a letter to the Administration concerning some of the proposed changes to Medicare, especially Part D, that we felt threatened the access and safety of older Americans. talked about importance of vaccinations and accessibility. discussed our stance against drug importation.
