Energy/Nuclear

Energy legislation, including energy efficiency provisions (S.2118 - Clean Energy for America Act, S.1298 - Clean Energy for America Act, S.2377 - Energy Infrastructure Act, and H.R. 5376 - Inflation Reduction Act). BASF supports provisions in energy legislation requiring improvements in building codes and incentives for green building and building efficiencies, as well as energy efficiency tax incentives (45L, 179D, 45Q). Energy infrastructure permitting reform (Energy Independence and Security Act no bill number and S. 4815 - START Act). BASF supports permitting reform legislation that, while protecting the environment, would allow timely consideration of infrastructure projects (transmission lines, pipelines, etc.) needed to meet clean energy goals.
