--Lobbied to strengthen commercial item procurement for DoD acquisition policy in the FY 18 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)(P.L. 115-91) to include: clarifying the definition of a commercial item, market research, value analysis, limit the flow down of government clauses to commercial contracts. --Lobbied for language and full funding in the FY 18 Defense Appropriations bills (H.R. 3354, S. ) for: (1) Handheld Manpack Small Form Fit (HMS) acquisition strategy; (2) The Air Force's F-35 to include funding for the Helmet Mounted Display System (HMDS); (3) The Navy's Tactical Combat Training System (TCTSII) and the Common Range Integrated Instruction System (CRIIS); (4) The Navy's CH-53K program; (5) The Army's CH-47F program; (6) Increase funding for the Defense Production Act Title III; (7) The Army's UH-60M program; (8) The Air Force's B-21 funding; (9) The Air Force's C-130J, C-130H AMP Programs.

--Lobbied for FAA reauthorization to include: (1) streamlining of FAA's certification activities and effective use of ODA program; (2) expansion of FAA's current UAS roadmap reporting requirements with annual publication and opportunity for review and comment by stakeholders; (3) support design, certification and operations standards for complete integration of commercial UAS into the NAS; (4) appropriate policies to maximize commercial UAS market growth; (5) accelerated UAS rulemakings on security issues (remote identification, operations over fixed sites, and operations near airports), operations over people, and beyond visual line of sight; (6) assurance all organizations within FAA are coordinating effectively on accelerating full UAS integration (AVS, ATO, NextGen, Airports, Spectrum and Policy Offices.) (7) full utilization of test sites; and (8) federal preemption of certain state and local laws governing UAS. (H.R. 2997, S. 1405) --Lobbied for UAS Integration Pilot Program.
