Spoke with Congressional members, Congressional staff, and agency staffers about the USS OLYMPIA. The USS OLYMPIA was Admiral Dewey's flagship and she transported the remains of the WWI Unknown Soldier home from Europe. On the Flagship Olympia Foundation's behalf, asked members of Congress to add language in the FY 2020 House and Senate Defense Appropriations Act creating a $15 million grant for the USS OLYMPIA that would be used for preservation purposes, including repairing the ship's hull.
