Issues relating to Section 50112, Advanced Drinking Water Technologies, in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (IIJA, P.L. 117-58) that directs EPA to create an annual $10 million competitive grant program for water systems serving under 100k pop. that identifies opportunities in the operations of the public water system to employ new, existing, or emerging, yet proven, technologies, including technology that could address cybersecurity vulnerabilities, as determined by the Administrator, that enhance treatment, monitoring, affordability, efficiency, or safety of the drinking water provided by the public water system. Issues relating to provisions in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (IIJA, P.L. 117-58) requiring EPA to issue a report on opportunities in the operations of public water systems to employ new, existing, or emerging, yet proven, technologies, including technology that could address cybersecurity vulnerabilities, as determined by the Administrator, that enhance treatment, monitoring, affordability, efficiency, or safety of the drinking water provided by the public water system. Issues relating to EPA conducting pilot projects with water systems using expandable pressure pipe to mitigate lead in lead service lines.
