Implementation of 2016 reforms to Toxic Substances Control Act [P.L.94-469]. BASF supports regulatory processes that are science-based, transparent, and stable, as well as increased EPA funding and staffing and increased regulatory efficiency so that safe, sustainable chemistries can reach the market in a timely manner. H.R.4470 - Protecting and Securing Chemical Facilities from Terrorist Attacks Act of 2023. BASF supports public policies to promote security and safety at chemical plants and across our supply chain. This includes ensuring the CFATS program is reauthorized in a timely manner.

Implementation of clean energy programs under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (P.L.117-58) and Inflation Reduction Act (P.L.117-169). BASF supports innovation in hydrogen, battery materials, battery storage, and other clean energy areas. Energy Efficiency (no bills) - BASF supports the implementation of energy code updates for use in connection federal housing programs as a means of improving energy efficiency.
