HR 6496 Iraqi refugees and Internally displaced Persons Humanitarian Assistance, Resettlement and Security Act of 2008 S. 3177 A bill to develop a policy to address the critical needs of Iraqi refugees To support the creation of anew federal position to monitor US policy towards Iraqi refugees HR 6520 Statelessness-- (A bill to improve policy towards people who are stateless) HR 1084/S. 613 Reconstruction and Stabilization Civilian Management act of 2008- To amend the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956, and the Foreign Service Act of 1980 to build operational readiness in civilian agencies, and for other purposes. To support the creation of S/CRS bureau to provide civilian response to emergencies. H. Res. 426 Recognizing 2007 as the Year of the Rights of Internally Displaced Persons in Colombia, adn offering support for efforts to ensure that the internally displaced people in Colombia receive the assistance and protection they need to rebuild their lives successfully.Suporting congressional recognition of IDP crisis in Colombia. H. Res. 726 regarding violence against women in Darfur, supporting resolution S. 2279/HR 5927 International Violence against women Act of 2007 Supporting increased funding and creation of positions to help US combat violence against women overseas
