● Continue to provide Client with information related to legislative progress of House and Senate Coast Guard Authorization Bills (HR 6865/S. 4802) ● Continue monitoring and reporting on fisheries and oceans-related legislation/initiatives including: the Executive Order #14008 on climate impacts to fisheries: the 30x30 conservation provision; and the reauthorization of the MSFMCA (HR 4690) ● Monitor USCG West Coast Port Access Route Study and report to Client ● Monitor and report on proposed offshore wind lease sales by BOEM off the West Coast ● Monitor NOAA/NMFS activities and congressional legislative efforts to address Marine Mammal Protection Act actions regarding whale migration and protection measures; including efforts by Congress to amend USCG legislation to expand MMPA protections for large whales ● Monitor and report on MARAD Jones Act waivers granted to foreign-flagged small passenger vessels home-ported in California. ●Monitor USCG, NOAA, & USFWS regulatory actions with potential impact on West Coast marine recreational fisheries, including and sea otter reintroduction ● Monitor Coast Guard development of electronic chart and navigational equipment regulatory changes
