Support for improved protection of private property rights within FERC's certificate of public convenience process under the Natural Gas Act and implementing regulations. Seek new bi-partisan legislation to address various issues of concern, such as improved notifications to landowners, eliminating conditional certificates, and "tolling" orders, modifying property valuations by including FERC within scope of typical Federal standards for appraisals, under the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act. Also see if possible to make FERC improvements to their processes for landowners, via administrative action.
