Working with Senate and House offices to support language in the Amtrak section of the surface transportation reauthorization that would restore the favorable Amtrak policies towards private cars and charter trains that existed at the start of 2018. Work with House & Senate offices to support report language on the FY 2021 Transportation/Housing Appropriations Bill that would encourage Amtrak to restore pre-2018 private car & charter train policies. This includes relaxing policies that currently require private-party charter trains to be repetitive and confined to the regular Amtrak route structure. Generally, support Amtrak's national route structure.
