Reading the receipts: how citations work
Every claim on every page links back to a primary source. Here's how to read them.

Every load-bearing claim on Receipts Report carries a source chip you can click. The chip resolves to either:
- A primary-source row — the actual federal data record (FEC filing line, LDA disclosure, USAspending award, STOCK Act PTR, Congress.gov vote record), or - A Receipts Report hub page — which itself carries the primary-source row inline.
When you click a source chip on a hub or in an agent answer, the relevant source slides in as a drawer. You can read the source without losing your place in the page. Close the drawer to return.
Why we do this: the moat is the receipts. Without citation on every claim, we're just another opinion site. The citation contract is enforced structurally — the agent will refuse to make claims it can't cite, and Reporter content has to clear the citation discipline before it can publish.
