Party-neutral by design (platform pages)

On platform pages — hub pages, catalogs, the agent’s answers — we rank by the numbers, not by party. The hub for a Democratic senator and a Republican senator have identical shape; ranking is by dollar amount and connection count, never by political flavor; the agent’s voice stays factual on connection-style queries.

Reporter content (at [username].receipts.report) is allowed to be viewpoint-open. Reporters publish under their own banner, including partisan content. The brand-safety floor below still applies to them.

Cite every claim

Every load-bearing claim on every page links back to the primary government record it came from. Click any number, any chart, any quoted figure — you’ll see the source row.

If we can’t cite it, we don’t claim it. The agent refuses to make connection-style claims about real people without resolving to a primary-source row or a Receipts Report hub.

Brand-safety floor (everywhere)

Across platform pages, agent answers, and Reporter content, we don’t publish:

• Defamation — false statements of fact damaging to a real person’s reputation
• Harassment or targeted abuse
• Doxxing — home addresses, personal phone numbers + emails, names of minors, medical info, religious affiliation (even when public)
• Calls for violence against named individuals, groups, or property
• NSFW content
• Fabricated claims about real people (no citation = no claim)
• Deepfakes — manipulated media presented as authentic

Reporter content review

Every Reporter receipt clears a content moderator before it goes live on the Reporter’s subdomain. The moderator enforces the brand-safety floor + the citation discipline. If a receipt is blocked, the Reporter sees the specific rule + the line that triggered it + a path to revise — or to appeal to human review.

The moderator does not enforce viewpoint, tone, register, or topical scope. Reporters write in their own voice within the floor.

Privacy floor

Some information about real people is technically public but we don’t publish it: home addresses, personal phone numbers, personal email addresses, names of minors, medical or health information, religious affiliation.

Spouses and adult family members are nameable when relevant to a financial, political, or coverage-related connection — same standard as established journalism. Only minors stay protected.

If we got something wrong, tell us. Email hello@receipts.report with the page URL + what you think is wrong + the source that says otherwise. We publish corrections at /corrections.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change the content rules, we’ll post the new version here with a revised date and (if you’re signed in) email you.
